Elspeth is a neurodivergent artist from Tasmania now living in Melbourne who explores themes from monsters to witches, the sideshow, tribal cultures to punk and goth culture, folklore and how we tell stories.

Elspeth's drawings and prints of drawings are created on the highest quality archival paper. The original drawings are created on thin, archival paper for the smooth texture and sent via post in a frame to keep flat. Elspeth's paintings are always prepared professionally with several layers of gesso to ensure the canvas does not rot.

Elspeth is inspired by artists Robert Crumb, Frida Kahlo, Goya and Mark Ryden in particular. She also gets a frisson from looking at the works of Van Gogh [as pictured above], Salvador Dali and Yayoi Kusama. Elspeth is interested in artists who represent the 'other' from the fringes of society, including naive artists such as Henry Darg
